Description: After MGW debuted with the awesome Gripper shift knob for the Viper, they released the First Strike knob. The first benefit of either knob is how it drastically lowers the height, and thereby the throw, of the tall shifter that comes standard on all Vipers. Many owners have chosen the knob all by itself as an inexpensive and effective alternative to expensive (and labor-intensive) shift kits. The pistol-style grip of the First Strike knob is excellent for those that race their Vipers. The knob is available for all years of the Viper, including the SRT-10 (pictured). It comes in several different colors and insert patterns, with "Fangs" pictured.

Pros: Short throw, fits the hand perfectly, and very easy installation.
Cons: None!

If you haven't made this simple upgrade to your car yet, you should. You won't go back to stock!

Pros: Looks good, easily removed if you don't like it
Cons: Gets a little hot after parking in the sun

Nice looking piece. Check installation after several hundred miles. Mine loosened up after a few hundred miles and needed re-tightening. Like most of the other MGW stuff, it blends in so well that I really don't think about them until I see a car without them.

Pros: Shorter shift throw, looks good, comfortable
Cons: none

Easy to install. Looks great. Much more comfortable to use, because of lower height and pistol grip. Doesn't conduct heat from the transmssion.

Best mod for the $$ that there is.

Pros: Great looks, nice throw
Cons: None

Took 10 minutes to install. The shorter stick is just right right size and relief from the long throws of the stock stick.
