David Boggs shattered the mph world record with blower only. He ran a 9.9? with 151mph in his stage 4 Dlm beast :bowdown: :bowdown: To say he was shocked would be an understatement /images/graemlins/laughing.gif I think I was way happier than he was that his car was able to break into the 9s and hit that magic 150mph # /images/graemlins/nana He later went on to run a 9.8 @ 135mph /images/graemlins/shocked He lifted off the gas as he did not want to break out but did anyways /images/graemlins/down If he would have stayed on it I deft believe he had a 9.6 or better /images/graemlins/shocked Congrats to you David, as you are a class act and more than deserve it :cheers: I have both his runs on video and will post them later tom. /images/graemlins/dude

It's great to know also , this was done in public with witnesses all driving on the SAME TRACK, the SAME AIR, SAME TEMP, SAME DAY and actual customers driving their own cars!

David is also NOT running a stroker and has stock 488 cubic inches. I'm told that his motor has more in it and that was on "low" boost to keep it "straight"...OK, now I know what package I"m upgrading to in the very near future..... /images/graemlins/supergrin.gif

I flew in from CA, and had an absolutely awesome time. Great people, great cars, and just plain fun.
I would not hesitate to have any of the tuners there work on my car. Now I need to hit the lottery.

Mark, I agree. The event was great. It was fantastic putting a face to all the names here. I meet quite a few people and need to start planning some trips to Austin, Canada, New York and a few other places I promised I would head to. It would be interesting to do this like a lot of other 'convention' type deals where they have two each year, one on each side of the coast -- sort of a Winter and a Summer type deal. I still put my vote in to have one in Las Vegas, which hosts the largest conventions/parties each year and has several tracks, for dragging, road coursing, etc. PLUS there's the Bragg Smith School right there, so you can learn to race your car for those that want to get into road coursing.

On the run where David Boggs hit 151 MPH, I was standing 8 inches from Mike Moundir as he started screaming and jumping.... and yelling......... and screaming even louder! It reminded me of when I was 10 and I got my first Atari 2600! I think a part of that is captured on tape -- funny stuff.

David, I already mentioned it to you, but congrats on that run. Now I am really antsy to get my car back from DLM.

David kicked ass, all right. 151 on blower alone is *insane* -- close to 950 RWHP. Given his car makes mid-800s corrected, he was picking up a lot of power with the cold dense air.

It's nice to think he's now running the same setup I am, only with slightly higher compression... and no Nitrous /images/graemlins/supergrin.gif. I *need* to get back to the track and see how my baby does with a little giggle juice...
