Why don\'t my pics download anymore!!!!!!!!

They used to load , no problem , now it says , must be no larger than 80000 , it used to say 100000 and they always loaded. How do I make them work? I have the same camera that has worked for months!!!!!!!!!! I tried to edit , but still the same problem!!!!! issed: issed:

You will have to resize them with "paint" or any other programs you may have.

Still won't work , I need to change the size on disk to a size less than 80000 bytes , how do I do that?

Spray, if you have windows like I do, I just go to START>PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES>PAINT. Then you can open (file>open) the pic into paint. Then under Image go to Stretch/Skew and put in smaller percentages. I know there are other probablt better ways, but I am not well versed with pc's so this is the easiest way I know.

ps - once you save the new pic go into attributes and makes sure it is less than 80000.

the size stays 94000 bytes, no how much smaller percentage wise I make it with paint!!!! /images/graemlins/angry.gif I still can't download my Viper pics with my posts?

Go to google, search for and download "IRFanView."

It's a free image formatting and resizing application, works great.

Making those .bmp files in MSPaint into jpgs or gifs will work wonders for the size...and it's easy to resize them if you still need to make them smaller.

It STILL won't load?

A 94,000 byte image, converted to a jpg and resized a bit should be far, far less than 80,000 bytes. Odd.

I guess the next best thing then would be to go over to a place like www.photobucket.com and create a free album. That particular site allows uploads of up to 150KB (they automatically resize images larger than that) and allows remote linking. Then you can come here and just link to your pictures without any problems.

It was a jpg to start with , then I tried a gif and still no load. When I resize them they are still over 80000 , no matter how small I make them. My multi pic posting days may be over: We cannot proceed.

Spray, have you tried "paint". If so are you making them smaller with % in stretch/skew? If you are trying to make them smaller in attributes the number of bytes does not decrease, only the dimensions of the pic.


With the 94000 pic, you probable only have to go down 95% or so, not much at all.

The only other thing I can think of is, are you saving the pics after the change with "save as" and making a new title. I think if you just hit "save" it does not rechange the size. Other than that I dunno....
