I know I am new to the board, but why are notes shut down so quickly, as it is hard to respond to a fairly new message when it gets threaded so fast. Just curious, and I know Young will tell me it is just so we don't have to listen to your damn aimless Ramblins, Mr. Pemberton.

I just haven't been able to respond to some of the posts as they appeared closed. Of course I need bifocals, and probably am having a computer challenged moment. I will go back and check and besides this might just be a clever way to add filler so I can get enought stuff on the site to win the prize for October,ha.

PS - Young are you still doing the famous Helmet trick at the races?

Haven't done the Helmet trick in a looong time. Right now I'm thinking about how I can work out a Panoz. I drove one the last ViperDays at T-Hill and was hooked - and all my friends have them.

I've also thought about starting out with a season in Spec Miata. It'd be cheaper startin out and an easy way to get my race legs under me. Last I heard, you and your son were tearin up the SM scene, is that right?

You are safe Markie, as this is a plug for a friend, not a commission issue. He built one of our racecars and is a super straight car builder -- he is just looking to move 2 of the cars, and he frankly isn't concerned about any profit. Yeh, yeh, you are thinking I am sales pitching your butt, but seriously I will tell anyone da same. Deal fell through, cars are in da way, time ta make room.

And Billiam, to address your original question: I have never seen a locked thread here in my semi-brief time on these always-active forums. I suspect you are referring to the fact that many of the threads "disappear" because so many new topics are started or replied to (never end a sentence with a preposition, dammit). In other words, this board is pretty darn active and the threads can move down the list pretty quickly! Take out the trifocals and scoot your walker a little closer to the screen. Dear Chrissie,

I resent that remark , I need QUADFOCALS and the Walker came with a set of Pilot Sport Cups so I can wheel into the Restroom really quick. Kinda fun too, as they make such a cool squealing noise I have scared a couple of old geezers right off the stool.
I think the problem is that the forum comes up SuperSized and I was too damn stupid to scroll the bottom over -- hence it only showed threaded, not reply. Yeh, I know, just stop laughing cuz you may need Quadfocals soon !!
