Very nice Snakbit. :thumb: Did you have them "powder coated" or just "painted"? What is the price per wheel to do that?

Thor, painted them myself!!! I have a small shop at home and the wifey does bodywork and painting on street-rods and nifty things!!!!!!
The outer part is painted black with a hint of red pearl in the clear-coat, the inner part is painted viper red!!!!!!!!!!! I think it looks retro, like the mopar muscle cars with the black plain rims!!!!! /images/graemlins/dude3 /images/graemlins/dude3 /images/graemlins/dude3 /images/graemlins/dude3
Sanding them sucks but it was worth it I think.

Awesome Snakbit!!! I am curious though, as I was told that Powder Coating is the only way to get durability when painting wheels. What's your take on this, as you have much more experience than I do on this subject? Do you think the paint will hold up well? What type of paint did you use? Why did you elect to sand versus bead blast the OEM finish off? Sorry for all the questions, but I have an extra set of 3 spokes that I am contemplating doing something with. /images/graemlins/smiles

then why dont you paint your front facia?

I will when I repaint the whole car........... /images/graemlins/supergrin.gif
I wanted to put some miles on it and not worry about messin' up the paint job first since the paint wasn't mint anyway!!!!!!!

Thor, I tried sand blasting the wheels first, whatever DC puts on there from the factory is REALLY on there!!!!!!! Sand would just bounce off. I didn't go the powdercoat way because I can paint myself and save a shitload. (just the cost of shop materials) Paint was leftover from previous jobs.
It was either red or black, I like the black. Goes with the rest of the car that doesn't have any chrome!!!!
Powdercoating holds up better but I can repaint them cheap so no big deal.
btw, the wheels were chipped up already, that's why I opted to paint them. /images/graemlins/smiles

It's not the whole fascia, it's just the lower splitter part. I bought it from a guy in colorado cheap.(he broke it and I modified it to fit my gen.1) It's from Autoform for a gen.2. I really like it alot, finishes the front of the car.

Jay, I'll take some here later and see if I can post 'em for ya!!!!
