what year did the rims change from the 5 star (like on a 97) to the 5 star (like on an 01).

The 98's were the last year for the thin spoked 17's. The rims like the one you have first appeared on the 99's.

coulda just changed them because the owner likes them more. But why you would go down to 17 inch wheels is beyond me.

I checked the VIN and it is a 2000 Viper

Can't really tell because its a bad picture, but doesn't the photo on the dealer floor have the new wheels?

those are pre 99 rims, you can see the notches between the spokes, and those other rims are clearly different.

Thats a 97 car. It looks like it has the clear plastic over the fog lights. That was discontinued in 98 I believe.

Jason is correct. There are two pics, one in the showroom and one outside and they are two different cars.
