search the m.org.ue for pictures how it should look after the recall work has been done

Thanks. My 96 had it done as well and didn't know if the 99's got it too. Now I know. /images/graemlins/supergrin.gif

I have a 99 GTS, but IMO the ULTIMATE "start from scratch" viper would be a black/black 99 ACR. Damned hard to find though. I had the 999 recall done on mine. Depending on the build date some dont need the 998 recall.

I still have the stock ACR belts in my car. I have the new ones in the box at home. I decided on a 99 solid red ACR and had to find one of 22. It was pretty challenging, but I ended up finding mine in Colorado. It was cherry and only had 5k miles on the clock. Not too many, not too little.

I looked for a long time for a solid black GTS or ACR and found NONE with low miles. Only found a couple and they were higher mileage than I wanted or modded in a way I didn't want. I am very happy with my find though. I guess I should put down the E55 keys and drive the damn thing once in a while!

I have a 99 black/black ACR. All recalls have been done and the car is track ready. I will sell you mine for $100K.

Seriously though, just having somebody at a Dodge place run the VIN will tell you exactly what recalls have been done. As stated, the only ones I remember are the 998/999 and the belts. I still have the original belts in a box somewhere. I never even got the recall belts cause I knew they'd be crap. I just went with TeamTechs as soon as I found out the momo ones were bad.

The '99s have the rattling Koni shocks. Mine rattle (after I moved away from the softest settings) but its really no big deal. You have to be on a road surface that is bumpy at some frequency in order to get them to do it - just hitting one bump or what not doesn't do anything.

I think the 99 ACR is the best value used Viper you can get, but then again, I'm biased. The ACR package is worth it (especially in the used market), the 99 cam is great, and the 99 car had all the nice gen2 stuff.
