We're starting to pray for some rain around here. I think we've set 4 record highs for May in the mid- to upper 90's. Mexican fires from slash and burn farming have made the atmosphere awful. Ground is opening up and the grass is turning brown. (Good construction weather, though...)

For areas like the front end I use something called Speedy 500 by Kent as my first step.

It is a cleaner/adhesive remover that I used to use years ago during my racing days. It gets all the road film, dirt and bugs off without harming the paint.

The next step is Meguiars #9 cleaner/polish to reduce scratch marks and finish cleaning the paint.

then 100% Brazilian carnauba wax.

I wax about once a month and use Eagle One "wet" to clean the car off after a drive.

seems to work well.

Spectacular photo! And thanks for the info on how to get off bug splats - they really show up on Yellow.

This Saturday afternoon I dug up a dead tree in the rain in my front yard and wished for dry weather around here for a change so I could A-Vipering I'm A-Going. Maybe tomorrow (actually today - Sunday, but when it gets light out if the roads are dry)...
