That is a 1967 Bizzarini Spyder SI.

Giotto Bizzarrini (the designer) did work for Ferrari at one point so Snake Bitten is pretty close. /images/graemlins/smiles

Ironicly enough it was powered by a 'vette derived small block.

They all look quite puzzled too...... I think they are waiting for someone to tell them too.

Except for the guy in the red shirt, he looks quite pissed. Maybe he is just trying real hard to break wind. Maybe he did break wind and the rest of are just pissed at him.

That really appears to be an actual Ferrari club event, I recognize two of those pompus assholes...I recall them looking down their noses on the Vipers at the Wings and Wheels event two years ago in Oseaola, WI...the Motorbooks show...

There was a 355 with a huge dent in the passenger rear quarter, and one of our guys made a point to go up to the guy, and ask him if he was "aware of it"...knowing damn well he was... /images/graemlins/laughing.gif

Not a bad looking car, but it certainly looks a little to much like a "kit" car for me.

I agree. It has classic lines. It would look MUCH better without the chromed under door panels. If those were painted to match the rest of the car it would be gorgeous...IMO /images/graemlins/supergrin.gif.

At first blush I blinked and thought it was a Ferrari 250LM...also a great looking car (at least in the eyes of this enthusiast)...

From the two-vent nose I could tell it was a Bizzarini right off, but many of the Ferraris did look very close. I think that this Spyder looks great. Most of the cars were coupes:

I've always like American motored hybrids like the Bizzarini, Jensen Healy Interceptor, and the AC Cobra.

One of those Iso-Bizzarrinis won the Goodwood Revival Tourist Trophy race last year with Richard Attwood and Mark Hales driving. If you ever get a chance, try to catch the race on SPEED because that was one epic battle--and this was a vintage event!
