Not a fan of the 6.0. However, the engine and EFI is superior to older cars.

I have only been in an early diablo. When I was searching, I asked many people the same questions you are asking now.

The VT cars were heavier, and ate clutches faster. I'm not into AWD, especially on something as heavy (4100lbs) as the Diablo. the SV are mean as hell from what I read. Again, I cannot vouch for this on a personal basis.

Not a fan of the Roadster.

So, for that, I chose the early diablo 91-93. Why?!? Well.. For just a little post-purchase coinage, you can upgrade the dash to the later years, new exhaust, SV bonnet mod, and some misc updates. When you're done, you have a car that is RWD, ligther and faster than a VT, and the looks (and pretty much the speed) of a SV. Gives you a good bit of room to customize, which is the first thing I would do.

I also prefer the clean lines of the early cars, but thats just me.

I must give a third vote for the VTTT, 750 HP and All-wheel drive, Keuylian Motorcars in Beverly Hills had one for sale not too long ago, a dark Blue one. Considering they only made 5 of them in 1995 and a few more in later years, they are one of the rarest and nicest Diablo's ever.

Yes, the Vttt is nice, but it is not factory made. You can take any Diablo and make it into a Vttt.
Actually the VTTT WAS a factory made option in 1995 and I believe 1998, they made 5 in 1995 I am not sure on production numbers for'98, check out www.lambocars.com for more info just click on the link for diablo lineup then scroll down to VTTT.

The Vttt was not ever a Factory option. The kits were installed by Platinum Motors. I can guarentee that.If you look under the Lambocars site, under Vttt it says under built by: Engine tuning by Platinum Motors.
