Vipress,
I am very concerned, that your not going to be enjoying a CC, and this does not make me very happy.
My first experiences with the CC program were very puzzling. I could not understand the order process as it was in the beginning. I called and was told if my application was sent in right away that I would be X number. 2 weeks later my number was x+2. So I was told that once a deposit along with a c completed application was sent in I would be assigned a number. I sent in an application with the deposit and waited for 2 1/2 weeks. No call no nothing. So I called and I got "Donna"---What an unfriendly person who hates her job, her life, and everything else. So anyway, She was not helpful.
I was a little upset (actually a lot) that I have sent in 20 k (Cashiers Check) to this place called Viper Race Headquarters, with no response, Nada, Nuttin!
She had explained that until the completed application was in, no number. Unfortunalty I am not an accomplished race driver so all I could offer was a Viper Days Challenge Series License. Courtney from Viperday was very helpful in getting that but is was a month later, and then My "Application" was consider complete. Even after 1 month my number was still 52. Just sending in a Cashiers check does not seal the deal. That does not get a you number
Once the application was considered complete, I then got options sheet, which determined the final cost.
As it turned out I traded with someone else. So I went from 52 down to 37. Then 2 weeks later I recieved a call saying I now, was # 35.
So the person whom I traded with went down from 52 down to # 49 and down again.
I am just assuming that with cars being late in the season, Some owners requested there deposits back, since for some the season was over.
Did the program work? Well not as smooth as it could have. Could it have been better--yes. Well it appears that the bugs are not worked out completely, but I'm sure it will get better. Tom Francis and Eric Peterson have been helpful and have always seem to take care of business when contacted.
Dodge has been helpful for some of the race teams. I was offered to jump ahead month on delivery if I was going to run a certain event and run the car. I declined and sill got the car around the date originally promised. Since I am an owner, I want this program to succeed also. I see that we are test mules for future cars and innovations
So, Laura Please E-mail some of the particulars.
There is nothin like a fast lap in a CC, and that is something you need to experience. My first race with the VRL in 3 weeks. I can't wait to get out with the other CC's, sleepless nights are already starting.
Joe (CC # 35)B
