OK, SO PAUL SULOFF, THE ORGANIZER OF THE VIPER NATIONALS IN OH NEXT MONTH SAYS THAT A TWIN TURBO VIPER HAS 2-4 POWER ADDERS, SO IT CANNOT COMPETE IN THE "MOD 2" CLASS. OK, FINE, SO WE WILL LEAVE THE TT CARS AT HOME FOR THIS ONE.

SO WHAT IS ALLOWED IN THE MOD 2 CLASS? I KNOW THAT ROE SC AND DLM SC CARS ARE GOING, SO I ASSUME THEY ARE ALLOWED. WHAT ABOUT A MOTOR CAR WITH NOS, CAN THAT COMPETE TOO? OR DOES THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE WATCHED A CAR RUN A 9 DISQUALIFY YOU?

IF A BUILT MOTOR AND NOS ARE ALLOWED, THEN WHAT ARE THE LIMITS OF THE NOS? A SINGLE PAIR OF SOLENOIDS? THROTTLE BODY INJECTION OR DIRECT PORT? IS THERE A "BTR TOM RULE" THAT LIMITS NOS?

WHAT ABOUT BLOWERS, ARE THEY LIMITED ON HOW MUCH BOOST THEY CAN RUN? ARE JATO ROCKETS ALLOWED? HOW ABOUT LIGHT WEIGHT WINDSHIELD WIPERS?

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE ACTUAL RULES ARE AND WHERE I CAN READ THEM? I DONT WANT TO WASTE TIME MAKING THE TRIP TO GET THEIR AND HERE SOME BS LAST MINUTE RULE THAT WAS CONCOTED TO KEEP "SOME" PEOPLE HAPPY.

FYI, IF WE COME, WE ARE COMING TO TAKE ALL YOU BITCHES OUT. SO IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THIS DEAL FOR SLOW CARS, START CRYING FOUL NOW.

John anything can run at anytime, go to the site www.chryslerclassic.com its the norwalk event, and its an IHRA track so the only damn rules that apply are IHRA rules, pretty simple. and if, by chance there are some other fucked up rules for the specific viper events, who cares, its a three day event with much more than just vipers and vipers can run in other events you want, hell, im bracket racing sunday.

Why can't the people who put on these events just rate power adders like most Pro series do?

N/A = No P. A.
1 or more turbos = 1 P. A.
1 or more S/C = 1 P. A.
N2O (any # of stages) = 1 P. A.
Turbo(s) + N2O = 2 P. A.
S/C(s) + N2O = 2 P. A.

* Notice I did not list Turbo + S/C, as I have not seen this combo on a Viper yet.

As far as N2O goes, 200 shot whether it comes in at once or in multiple stages is still only a 200 shot. Multi stage N2O HP is still the same as single stage. :bonk:

WTF is so hard about that?

I went to the Norwalk/Chryslers at Norwalk website and noticed that there are (2) classes for Vipers.

1. Stock

2. "Fast 4"

I'm not sure what either of them mean, and would like some clarification as its a very long drive.

I agree 100% with Jerome about classes and mods.


Does this Mod 2 class allow 2 power adders? Power adder being a bolt on horsepower adder above and beyond the stock or modified powerplant itself.

yep, it could be damn simple and should be damn simple, why it isnt is beyond me.

no matter what; you can race your viper, if the viper events section bitches about your ride cause its "too fast" well thatd be bullshit and im sure it wouldnt hold up cause i for one would be pissed if a fast ass viper couldnt race as thats what everyone wants to see and commes to see, so im sure at the event itll go good for everyone

just show up and race your cars and have some fun.

This is the same BS as before. I hate to point fingers, but it looks like SOME of the supercharger guys want to handicap everyone else so they can win. It's so silly.

Turbo is basically the same as SC. The fact that there are 2 turbos doesn't mean shit - you can do a single turbo also, just harder to plumb it. If you did that, they would consider it 2 PA's again because the turbo requires a special exhaust.

The do it to the NOS guys too - two stage is called 2 PA's which again is retarded. It's basically limiting your tire spin if you do a 2-stage - so what? That is like saying "well the Roe kit is one PA because it comes on at once, but the centrifugal ones are two because they are progressive".

The way Jerome said it is *exactly* the way it should be. The fact that some want to change it is just sour grapes, IMO.

PAUL SULOFF TOLD ME DIRECTLY THAT HE CONSIDERS 2 TURBOS AS 2 POWER ADDERS.

BELEIVE ME, IF I HAD THE TIME OR INTEREST, I WOULD BUILD A SINGLE TURBO TO BRING TO THIS SHIN DIG THAT WOULD BE FASTER THAN ANY TWIN TURBO THAT I HAVE BUILT THUS FAR.

I GOT SOME OTHER INTERESTING INFO. THAT IS HAPPENDING BEHIND THE SCENES IN THE VIPER DRAG RACING WORLD. SUFFICE IT TO SAY THAT THERE ARE SOME INDIVIDUALS AND COMPANIES THAT ARE VERY UPSET ABOUT THE FACT THAT WE HAVE AN 8-SEC. VIPER AND THEY ARENT EVEN CLOSE TO THAT.

THATS A SEPERATE THREAD THAT I MAY GET INTO THIS WEEK.

It's a shame that hundreds of fine Mopar fans won't get to see a 9 second pass at this event. No non-nitroused Viper will run a 9 there.

Maybe they should class the cars by Dollars spent on mods..LOL.

I wonder why the Roe Posse' is not whining about the DLM and Hef Posse' as they have intercoolers. Any forced air owner will admit that an intercooler makes all the difference..Just ask the Supra guys.

As seen in previous posts the time for Vipers is on a schedule at the Chrysler Classic. I can create an Unlimited class. Would love to have them for the Viper community to witness in the northern states. Tech standards can only bend so far. We have to have at minimum a roll bar to run 9s. Give me four cars and I will offer a Purse. Now who will commit??? :fight:

So does an SC car with an intercooler have 2 PA's and a TT with an intercooler has 3? It's just silly. It's all about how you create pressure - you can shoot NOS ("fake air"), push more air in, or make the engine run better with what it's got.

It seems like some are just trying to make certain classes so specific that they predetermine the winner.

I'd love to see ALL these cars run. I think when Tom won the event last time, it pissed of some folks who then said he cheated. Whatever.
