Did the GT2 cost any more than any other 98 GTS when it first came out? Were the prices as high for the GT2 as they are today. I ask this because it is basically GTS with a different paint job and wheels, and some other small tid-bits here and there. So why do people want 100k for them? What did they sticker for new? And how hard were they to obtain when new?

I understand the collectability of the car, but that happens 20-30-40 years down the road. I just dont get that car, it looks nice, and maybe should pull a premium over other Vipers but 100k is ridiculous. There are other vipers that are more rare than that one.

The sticker on the GT2 was high $80's. A lot of people paid that + for them. There are not rarer produced Viper's, just rarer color combos. They probably aren't worth $100K anymore, but people aren't selling them for that much anyway (on the real market - asking price is another thing). I would say that very low mileage GT2's are worth high $80's and maybe even low $90's.

I have GT2 #33 for sale with 17K miles, and am asking less than what it was new. Still looking for a buyer. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
