Guys,
I am thinking about attending the West Coast Viper Days events. I'll say it now, I am a newbie. I have road coursed 2 times in a C5, once in a Z06 and twice in by Gen I RT/10, both times of which resulted in the following:
1st time: Button Willow -- broke my front left tire half way into a turn. Result = off track and done for the day.
2nd and final time: Las Vegas -- didn't have appropropriate spacers to fit race wheels over Brembo brakes, so raced on stock 19 inch purners w/ mich's, and by the end of the day spun it off track (scratched up rimps pretty badly.)
So, my RT/10 has about 100 more N/A horsepower than stock RT/10's, and I am looking to learn to drive it better and get out to more events. Is there anything I am going to need for these events? Any words of wisdom?
BTW, I do have a set of Purners now outfitted with Hoosiers, and I am looking to pick up some 17's that I can stick stock Mich's on as well to race on street tires.
