Is the Viper ashtray unique to VIPER or is the same unit used in any other Dodge cars?

I need to cut mine up for a switch, but wanted to have a stock one to put back some day.

Thanks,
Jason

Rather than cut the ashtray up, I removed it entirely and made a plate that the switches mount on. It all depends on the look you're going for. Removing the tray left me a lot more room in the hole to wire and mount the switches. I might have a pic around here somewhere...

Mark,

Looks nice. How is the plate secured?
Ah, but that is the secret, now isn't it?!

There are actually two plates since I crafted this myself. There is a top plate that rests on top of the console cutout (but down in the dip) and there is a bottom plate that sits below the lip. I sandwich the two plates with some filler material to match the thickness of the panel.

The switches are from Summit Racing.

A friend has a CNC shop, and one of these days I'm going to CNC a really trick brushed fixture to replace my homemade one. When I do I'll have him make a few and post here for whoever wants one.
