Hey smokin! This race took place in Germany, not norcal

Mods on the Viper are exhaust, headers, and ahem, very hi-flowing cats /images/graemlins/laughing.gif
It dynoed 435whp. Porsche has a chip and exhaust. Probably making more power than the Viper. I'm guessing anywhere between 440-470whp, plus it's a tiptronic. That 996 also traps 124 in the 1/4 vs. 120 for the Viper. FWIW, there was no passenger in the Viper, and likely to get passed had the races gone over 160mph. Too bad the aerodynamics on the Viper ain't the greatest in the world. /images/graemlins/frown.gif Here is pic of that Viper:
