Im not to sure, I guess I thought it would be alittle different. Ive never driven anything like your car so I dont know what its like. Please dont misunderstand my question or take it the wrong way. Love all the videos.

Bear in mind that Mike could stomp on it as fast as he could get his foot down at that speed and has got a very quick stockish Viper that runs 3.55 rear gears if I recall - is that right Mike? That means he will be right on the torque curve straight away

add to that the DLM car with 800rwhp is not something you just slap the throttle to the floor at 3500rpm on up like you were trying to squash a roach - so the acceleration will be progressive

bear also in mind that the DLM car was only under full power until it pulled in front a way, then it would back off. If the foot was left down hard - the pull away would have got faster and faster - despite the rear wing adding downforce.

From those roll on speeds - Mikes lower geared Viper was accelerating hard enough to throw you hard in the seat. To have a car alongside you while doing that walk away is pretty impressive, if Mike had backed off or hit the picks - the DLM car would have been a blur.

no offense taken.... if you look also at the vid's he had a big jump on both. Which means i was a gear UP from him also... I was babying my viper, trust me. i was on the floor, but a gear higher than him. As you'll see, also my pull away rate will just keep getting faster as torkie said above.
If I would have driven my car like he did against that motorcycle, the outcomes would have been MUCH different. Als notice how I granny shifted.. I suck at driving

I think you drive very well - that's why you don't break the gear! The really "fast" shifting guys with your power will break many parts in the time you've had your car.

I think you've got the balance right. Those who want to drive more white knuckled have to be prepared to have more repairs and off road time. Besides - being a little cautious isn't a bad thing - you know what would happen if a lead foot got in your car and went mental - sooner or later they'd pull the trigger on a loaded barrel with their name on it. Life's too precious to throw it away.

Torquemonster you are absolutely right. I was able to stomp it and get traction right away even with the 3.55s in the rear /images/graemlins/gr_driving3.gif I also tried to cheat by going first but he would still catch me and bitch slap me :slap: I If Gerald stayed on it after passing me, I think I would need the hubble telescope to see him :lolcry:
