Posting pics for Vic...He shortend the stocker shifter on his Sapphire GTS...cheap and effective...great idea!

Cut the shifter stalk, half the width of the flat spot...

Cut the male part of the stalk, and grind the lock washer thinner...

Finished mod is considerably shorter than stock...

Great idea, Smoke. I thought about that too, and maybe will do this week. And if you do like you are thinking, you probably won't have to cut the male threads coming up from the shifter pivot.

The only reason why I did it this cheap ass way, was because I already had the center console off to install some Team Tech harnesses. So I figured what the heck, it only takes a couple/few minutes to do. I could always put the B+M or SVS shifter in later. This was just a quickie, because the opportunity arose.
