Official Class structure V-10 nationals 2004 Season (364 words) #230804

Stock Class 12.00 and up
Street Class 11.00 - 11.99
Super Street 10.50 - 10.99
Pro Street 9.90 - 10.49
Unlimited 9.35 - 9.89
unlimited Pro Viper Vin # Required

Street Tire Shoot-out seperate from above owner must Drive the Car!

Individual Driving Awards will be given as well as top 3 finishers.
Mod Level awards will be given as well.
Fastest Roe Blower
Fastest NOS Only
Fastest Supercharged Only
Fastest Turbo's
Fastest All Motor
ect.

All events winners will be published in Viper Magazine. Including the winners of the past 2 events in the spring issue of the Magazine.

This is basically the same set-up as San Antonio. We have eliminated for the time being the All Motor class to make the classes larger. As the event grows we will add the all motor class back in as cars will permit to do so. This is looking to be the way the event structure will work as far as class breakdowns.

I realize that this is a index system but for now I feel this is the best way to
maximize car counts and make the event grow.

As always I am listening and invite good advice concerning the events. ESPECIALLY FROM THOSE WHO ACTUALLY ATTEND THEM!!! if any questions or concerns please voice them.

there will be a following set of actual rules concerning the proper staging and ect. for the actual event. Example. once the lane next to you is staged you only have a limited amount of time to stage or the lights will go. these will be detailed of course and we will become strict on the rules of the event. This is necessarry to make the event an overall success.

questions or concerns are always welcome.

This will be a points series. There will be a Minimum of 6 races including a Championship Event back in San ANtonio Next December. The V-10 Nationals will also host an event in Shreveport, LA the week of VOI 8. tentative schedule is the following

Feb 6-8 Bradenton, FLorida
Late April Early May Bowling Green,KY
Late June or July Open TBA
August Columbus, Ohio Covered by ESPN 2
September VOI Shreveport, LA
Late October early November TBA Possible Canada or Las Vegas
December Finals San ANtonio

thanks

See you in Florida!!! Feb 6-8

Las Vegas in October
If in Canada how hard would it be to cross borders either way? With the middle eastern problems to come back into the US with a trailer will it become an all day affair?

All motor class races per et is that correct? All Vipers no matter what is under the hood (V-10) will race any Viper in the time qualifying class correct?

The e.t's have a slight change from the 9.49-faster
9.50-9.99
10.00-10.49
10.50-10.99
11.00-11.49
11.50-11.99
12.00 and up
Was there a reason to change the time classes?
The break out rule still stands where once your class has been set you can not better that time by ____ or you will be eliminated or moved to the faster class.

If it is in Vegas later this year, all us West Coasters can attend for a change. And no better place to relax and have fun afterwards than Vegas.

Not sure where you are getting those numbers. those may have been discussed but was not the actual numbers used in the last event.

I gave the unlimited more space this time! 9.35 - 9.89 I thought you would like the extra space.

the time changes are very simple and this is to insure full classes for better racing action instead of 1 or 2 races to win the crown.
thanks

The numbers were from one of your post from the San Antonio race. That was only a question and I do not have .005 of a problem with the times at all....................
I was just asking why the change, was it to place more cars in a class? I agree with more cars in any group (class) and more Vipers in any class will make for better racing rather than running one other car iet.
Actually the new numbers help because with the old numbers we would be running against SVS (jr) and I am not so sure that we want any part of that race. Running jr we would have some ground to make up or demand a head start. /images/graemlins/drive

If by chance you are going to be in Houston any time soon bring about 16 squares, I have a leak and also need some flashing replaced. LOL but true. Nation wide, might as well have a satellite shop in Houston. That would be a great excuse to keep a Viper here for weekend racing. I also have connections with many of the local builders.

VoI is in Dallas but there is no VIPER friendly tracks in the Area. So shreveport is the best place to host it. Plus it is an exciting town with all the casino's and such.

Is the Shreveport event going to be held on the same weekend or a couple of days before? That will be a hella of a drive. Also, so VOI 8 will not have a VCA sponsored drag event?

The event will be the tuesday and Wednesday before VOI. If everything falls into place it will be recognized as the VOI Drags. so come early for extra fun!
