The tank with the radiator cap has a rubber hose going to the overflow tank in the facia. The hose goes onto a metal tube about 6 inches after the radiator.
1. Did any Vipers come with clamps on this rubber hose or do they all just push on?
2. What material is the metal tube made from? Aluminum? Stainless?

This hose goes to the vented overflow tank in the front fascia. Therefore, it does not require clamps. The hardline tubing is stainless.

hose clamp all those small push on tubing. You loose the seal you will never draw fluid back up out the Fascia bottle. I've seen some fascia bottles over flowing with no fluid in the upper tank.

This happened to me. The fluid pushed into the overflow but wouldn't draw back because the push on tubing was drawnig air. I just wondered since I have a 95 if Dodge ever fixed it and put clamps on a later year.

There is also a history of people "bumping" the right front area of the fascia, down low, and getting a leak in the overflow bottle from a screw down there. Not sure if you were aware...I can think of at least 8 people that has happened to.

I don't have that problem but what resolved it? How the heck do you get there to cover it, tape it, cut it, or whatever to the screw?

You remove the fascia bolt and cut it off approximately 1/2".

Hey Dean....do you know if this only affected a certain range of years? I ask because the GEN I and GEN II fascias are different, I just don't know HOW different.

Over all the years and myriad variations in production, the area around the overflow bottle seems to have escaped notice. The single biggest obvious change to the cooling system was in '94, when the header tank was installed on the passenger side fender liner. There wasn't one anywhere in '92 and '93.

I'm not exactly sure, but the bolt in question is either the 3rd or 4th one inboard - just about directly under the high beam light.
