One of our members came over in his SRT last night... He is not an email or online kind of guy - so no issue with him seeing this...
Lou is a great guy - he is now tired of taking on cars - and says he likes to single out bikes instead - they're more of a challenge... Anyways, again, he is a great guy - has had some vettes in his life - but now has an SRT...
The SRTs were staring to grow on me - seeing some of them around and down at viper-versus-viper... So, took it for a cruise last night - no offense - I wasn't really impressed... I thought that I would be able to realize a significant difference - but I didn't compared to my 02 rt...
Again - this is just my two cents - but I didn't feel that anyone really noticed when I was cruising in it - I think it blends in too much... Besides the fact that it is EXTREMELY quiet... I think the front looks very mean - but the back end looks like an after thought... And my god - when I saw that I could fit about a 12-pack in the size of that trunk - yikes... The convert takes up everything - and no spare...
So, this weekend, Lou is going to stop back over - looks like we'll be doing a little work to the exhaust to make it sound the way it should... And he is also looking very seriously at getting it supercharged...
All in all - I didn't get that same unique feeling as when I am in a Gen II... It seemed very "family like" to me... I did like the seats much more than the GEN II's - and the electric pedal adjustment - oh, and popping the hood, the engine definately looks more serious... The back brakes put mine to shame - and you can definately feel the difference...
Anyways, we'll get his SRT looking and sounding mean very soon... I'll keep you updated...
