Taig Stewart\'s HMS Venom TT put\'s down 993 RWTQ

I just got off the phone with John who is up in Utah tuning Taig Stewarts Venom Twin Turbo.

The car just put down the following SAE corrected numbers at 11 PSI of boost!!!!

837.1 RWHP :nod:

993.3 RWTQ :nod:

I knew the car felt fast when I rode in it in Houston and now I know why. /images/graemlins/gr_driving3.gif

When I rode in that car it was simply the Fastest street car I have ever ridden in. Those numbers speak for themselves. Sounds like John has made good on his promise with Taig. Hopefully he can really enjoy the new power in his awesome car.

I was at the dyno this morning with john and taigs car. The car is in pretty good shape. The front and rear facia are getting repainted so they were not on and there was also no hood. In other words, we didn't go for a drive down the street. Anyway, this car ran for about 5 seconds on the dyno and it was done. I was impressed and thought this is a fast car. The dyno came up 837RWHP/993RWHP with more to go. Peak HP was at about 5000rpm so there is more to go.

As far as the SAE Peak numbers are concerned they are great but I don't know how accurate they are because the turbos are so much better at altitude. However, the uncorrected numbers are more than my corrected numbers on my car at the same dyno. Very impressive! This car should crush mine without any problem. The torque curve is insane.

I talked to taig and he is happy. There are still some more issues to clear up over the next few months but Taig is very happy to have his car here and putting out some great numbers.

I will post a dyno graph later.

It was great to finally meet John and Nick. I wish them the best at Ohio.

I truely think that Taig will get what he paid for and will have a smile on his face.

That is very good to hear.


I tend to think I was right in thinking Taig was probably dejected and frustrated when the car didn't run right - but now that it's going well, I can't imagine anyone NOT being happy with almost 1000RWTQ!

Many thanks to Taig for allowing us the opportunity to come to Utah and tune his car. Big thanks also to Todd (UtahViper) for his help and time. Also, Dave from Hinkley Dodge was incredible with his help at his garage. The only thing stronger than 993 rw tq in Utah today is these fine people who helped us. Also a special thanks to No Mercy for his help as well.

We measured over 800 rw tq from 3500 rpm to 5500 rpm and made over 900 rw tq from 3800 to 4900 rpm. And we made over 800 rw hp from 4200 rpm to 6000 rpm. I have scanned the dyno graph but I am not able to upload it from this PC. So I emailed it to some guys that may be able to upload it later on. The graph is impressive and I cant wait to road test the car in UT soon.

We are not done with Taig's car yet, but the final results are looking very promising. We are now headed to OH for the Viper Nats. Talk to yall later.

Wow, that's insane - definitly different then a supercharged curve. What's the difference in driving dynamics between a big power turbo car and a DLM car?
