Regarding the KONI 2812's bump and rebound settings -
I assume the settings are (-) softest, (+) stiffest. 8 settings B and R.
I set my bump at 6, rebound at 4 FRONT. For the REARS, bump at 4, rebound at 3.
My reasoning is that I wanted to keep the rear at a softer setting vs. the front to compensate for the "twitchy" rear characteristic of our car. I put more rebound in the front since more rebound is supposed to enhance understeer. Our cars oversteer at speed. I tried to tone this tendency down a bit by running more rebound.
Many questions, I have.
* What do others have their bump/rebound settings at? Mainly interested in track settings.
* Does anyone vary their settings front to rear?
* Can anyone explain the specific handling effects of increasing/decreasing bump and rebound?
* Anybody have a good base track setting to progress from by making incremental adjustments at the track?
Thanks in advance.
