disconnect battery for 10 mins then reconnect and try starting. If that doesn't work replace battery. What year is your Viper?

if yours is a 2000 there is an alarm re-set in thecenter glove box, try hitting the button first before you go to the trouble of disconnecting the battery.

you gotta take off the driver's side rear wheel to get at it and remove some of the inner fender. The exact location is in the owner's manual.

Thanks, Graig, I found the reset switch inside the glove box, I put the key in and it turns, but the door is still locked and won't respond to the remote and I could not find the owners manual. I really apprecaite your help. Am I suppose to hold the key in the reset switch for 10 minutes? Thanks.

Your battery is dead or near dead I think.

The car will start I'm pretty sure, even while armed. It just shuts off in a very short amount of time. If you want to check, go pop the hood. This will set off the alarm - assuming the battery has any juice. All you have to do to kill the alarm is put the key in the secret hole and turn it till it stops.

Thank you everyone, problem solved, I disconnected the positive terminal next to the main fusebox and waited 10 minutes, reconnect and it resets the fuel cut off and started right up. Now only if I can find the code for my radio.

Thanks again for all your help.
