This would be a fun, shit-stirring statistic to gather... in addition to word count, rate the average reading level of the posts. :devil:
Given that most of these rating systems expect a human reader to assign points to words (for example, deciding whether you're reading an everyday word like "Hennescrewed" or a less common word such as "avuncular"), a machine-generated rating won't be gospel, but it would be an interesting programming task, and would certainly generate some controversy.
Sadly, there doesn't appear to be a way to accurately incorporate considerations of proper use of grammar or punctuation -- yet -- but we need something to look forward to, right?
