according to the original maker, gen1 and gen2 are different. I have one that's missing the latches and the rear mount.

This one just sold on ebay. it was for a gen2. But I laid in on my gen1 for the pics. The latch is just in a different spot from the look of it. So will it just bolt on a gen1, no. But looks like an easy fix for someone to do.

My '93 Gen 1 had two rear latch pockets toward the outsides, but it has been almost 30 years since I bought it and over 25 since I sold it so I'm no expert. The sport bar pads quickly went missing after they started making hard tops and finding one that fits your Lemke top is likely to be a problem. Measure the center distance between the pockets and include that, your year model and MDH date when talking to parts people about the situation.
