Has anyone had the opportunity to drive all three major s/c cars? I know all customers fight amongst themselves, but has anyone experienced all three...if so, how was the craftsmanship of each system, etc. I've noticed the roe s/c whining a lot more (like a lingerfelter s/c) and you can hear it from a distance. I haven't noticed DLM or Heffner's whining with that high pitch sound. Roe sounds like an 03 cobra. NOT THAT ANY SYSTME IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER, but I just wanted an idea of what each was like. Why in the hell are the prices that scattered?

Kingrt, I only know a sound because of some video that I've seen (multiple videos) and the roe's all whine and I LOVE THAT WHINE actually that's why i was asking.

You don't have a blow off valve on your SC like the Heffner packages. You have a tube that runs directly back into the intake tubes that prevents any sound. Instead of the air being released into the engine compartment it is just sucked back into the intake, thats why you have no sound. Its normal for those blowers.

From the ROE side of the house. I've only seen three outside of my own. But from what I hear, you don't here the S/C at all. I was pretty impressed with that.

You can ask David Weaver about ROE. He is the man.

There is a whistle at idle and typically below 2,000 RPM. After that, I can even hear the radio /images/graemlins/supergrin.gif.

From inside the Viper there is a slight whistle, (whirling sound) as it goes down to idle. From the inside you don't hear the blower under acceleration, but from the outside under acceleration you hear it. I guess with a quiet exhaust it would be more noticeable inside. The Blower on my XKR sounds like an electric motor under full throttle from the inside, because the exhaust is very quiet.

Roe, SC and Levin? The latter two are a whole different ball of wax. Roe offers a DIY kit that will get you in an SC system for well under $10K with a decent increase in power, (netting about 600RWHP). The latter two are highly customized super-tuner packages where you send the tuners your car and they make you a customized work of art neting well over 700rhwp. Of course this costs more, but then again you get more. Cant really compare, IMO its apples and oranges. As far as whistling goes, mine whistles. You cant hear it at WOT (car is too loud) but at idle, theres no mistaking the car is supercharged. When you lat off the gas, the BOV is definitely noticeable.

the heffner and levin systems whistle like a son of a bitch. fuck, i know cars can hear me whistle at 80mph and cruising. the blow off valve is simply awesome too, and half the fun of having the blower. keep in mind i did say half, b/c 4th gear at 100 is pretty kickass as well . i heard the roe system on a graphite car that david weaver had in austin a few months ago, and you couldnt even tell it was blown. that has an advantage b/c the cars next to you dont know your force fed, and that is killer for a sleeper.. but when pushing 800 rwhp, it doesnt matter that they know either

No, he has been toying with the idea to put a small(75-100) shot on, but has not(his car has been awaiting a clutch change since the BG event last May.....sound familiar :arcade. His car is a venom 500, so I think it just has headers, no cats and a catback and k/n's. He was using an MSD box that day and she was hauling ass. I will find the video and try to figure out how to post it.

ok let's try these....one can hear it nest in the 1/4 mile run(1st video) even though the car has no cat. It certainly isn't as loud as a DLM or Heffner setup, but it sounds sweet....turn up the volume boys! /images/graemlins/headbang.gif
