Remembering Paul, a collection of threads..

As we all know, PMUM ruled the track, but Paul was THE king of smack.. I loved reading his posts and banter with the "Usual Suspects".. This stuff never gets old and I was reading some posts over at .org and thought you all might enjoy these.. I also checked the Corvette Forum - he had some great one's there too, but nothing returned.

On Kid 97's return

Remember V-10 Jenn? LOL

The original "bannee" thread, with the Racist Frankkk take, lol

Paul and Eric being "Serious" about street racing

Remember "singlemd4u"? LOL, this thread is GREAT!

One of the funniest threads, EVER. Paul driving through Tejas - LOL.. If you read one of them, read this one.

Paul gives a review of a 550 Maranello. I bet he could make that car sing!

Paul's first win this season, what a classy reply!

Anyway, I hope everyone can enjoy these in the spirit of remembering a true class act and amazing representative for the Viper community, in all settings. I know a lot of the senior members of the community will remember these being posted - great memories. But, if anyone feels this is in poor taste, I will remove, ASAP.

Regards to All, especially in this hard time.

Good call Clint! Been scouring for them myself and posted a couple in their entirety (didn't see this thread as I was compiling mine). Thanks for doing this, as it really does help to read some of the lasting impressions he made on us all...
I say at 10pm EST tomorrow, we all raise a toast to Paul. Who's with me?
I remember PMUM from waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy back when the vca forums were just starting out. He reigned KING of the smack and only until the arrival of Brunton and Smokin did he even have the slightest amount of competition.

As I started reading the posts above, I began to laugh.......laugh harder, then my eyes started to water and I had to stop.

Thanks Clint for posting them. Memories of greats like PMUM are now for us, the living........please don't EVER remove these and all of the other Paul Mumford threads.

Damn, reading those posts brings back some memories. Makes you wander whatever happened to some of those folks.
What was Smackies screen name on the old board? Sometimes it's hard to keep track of everyone.
Smackie Chan, then Lil Schuey (and then here, from the latter back to the former)

Those threads really do bring back some great memories. I laughed so hard back in the day. The banter was incredible.
I remember I how I used to lurk at dotorg while I was shopping for a Viper. I would read the extreme wit and humor from PMUM, Kid97 and the other "suspects" and would burst out laughing. It was that wit from PMUM that made me feel that the Viper community is such a fun group. The banter was definitely incredible and memorable.

Same here. The guys really seemed like a nice crowd that was fun to be around rather than the steril zaino swirling types that are killing the org site now.
Bump, for others that might have not been able to enjoy these yet.. Thanks for all of the support guys, the Alley is the greatest..

Clint,

Thanks for collection, and you're right...some of Paul's best stuff is on the Vette board..."I'm PMUM and I kill C4's" is one of the all time classics. Paul and I would talk about that one from time to time and laugh our asses off! It feels good to laugh again, this has been the worst week of my life and I'm sure there are many others that were close to Paul that would say the same. He was truly a great man. I'll miss you Paul, god bless you.

Brett, that's the one that had stuck in my head, although I didn't recall the title. LOL, he had them SO riled up /images/graemlins/smile.gif! I'm glad to hear you're doing better - it was a horrible week for me too. And you're welcome, it truely does help to laugh.

Best,
Clint

Ditto! I remember that stuff, the first thread was while I was wrapping up my deal to buy (it was near the end of May 01, bought my car at the beginning of June 01), too much fun, especially with everyone laying it into YoTony/IEATVETTES/BackNBlack /images/graemlins/smile.gif

THE beat down thread of all time was on the corvette forum. It was in the "kills" section but it looks like they have done away with it. I don't watch the corvetteforum and am not a member there but it looks like a search of the thread shows up in their archives but you need a password to get to it. Anyone able to get to it?

If you think Adelberg's brakes were hot.....you should see the folders burn in the kill section on the Vette board.

Hi All,

I was perusing FerrariChat.com and found this link to a real nice writeup about Paul, it was real enjoying to read (I mean, as much as it can be).

Here's the link, hope it's not a repost: Pauls Page

That link points to ViperClub.
Classic stuff. I remember reading those threads as they were happening, and laughing out loud, PMUM, Kid, Tenney, Shuey/Shackie, Eric, Bigs, SoCal, etc used to keep me in stitches. Thaks for posting the links, Clint.
Oops! Sorry Chuck et al, I fixed it..

You're welcome XS TORQ..
