Came across a Gen III for sale. Dealer's website contains a link to the Carfax, which appears to show 3 transactions in a little over a year.

1. Sold by a Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealer in March 2021.

2. 6 months and 2K miles later sold by Jaguar/Land Rover dealer.

3. Another 6 months and 2.5K miles later listed for sale by independent dealer.

Considering reaching out to the dealer to try and schedule a PPI, but on the surface, are frequent sales like a cause for concern?

In today's market I wouldn't be surprised if each time it was sold it was marked up $5k. Just get a PPI done and if you like the car I wouldn't hesitate to buy if all checks out

You would be correct. I was able to find the archived price at the JLR dealer. The current listed price is $5K more that it was listed for in September 2021.

That's quite a lot of driving for one a 1-owner Viper. However, a new owner is likely to drive it quite a bit until the 'new' starts to wear off and minor issues begin to be uncovered.

A local CDJ is selling another Gen 3 for $69,995. The same Viper sold on BaT for $51,000 10 months ago.
