I know some of the aftermarket brake kits require the larger wheels to fit properly, and that lower profile tires can increase handling. Still I like the look of the forged 17s on the 98 RT - does anyone offer brake kits that help a lot with 17s? Is there that big a handling difference going with 18s?
TIA

Stoptech brake kits work fine.

The racing Vipers used to run 18 fronts and 17 rears. Logic was the taller sidewall on the rear allowed for more power to be put to the ground.

Didn't really mean to start a controversy, they both look great. My question is does anyone have a 98/97 RT with 17s and front StopTechs? How much diff. do they make? My impression that stock brakes are doo-doo.
And, if someone thinks there's a big diff. between 18 and 17 after market braking, please weigh in.
Thanks

Only thing stopping me from getting 18's or 19's is the fact that I can't get anything stickier for the street than normal street tires. Once you've tried Kuhmo's you'll never go back...
