Well, its a double edged sword. Granted post count is not the "end all" in saying what kind of contributor someone is for the board. But it is a good indicator. Someone with 50 posts in one year is not a real significant contributor, but someone with 2000 in one year is more LIKELY to be one. Granted, those posts may have contain post whoring, but weve ran polls on all these subjects already. The fact of the matter is, that the members want post counts, and moderators can lock post whoring threads when they are out of hand. So since these things all do exist, and have been voted on, lets table those issues and try to improve upon or remove the flaws on a platform that the users like and have voted to keep.
It seems that supreme viper's gripe is with post counts and user ratings. However weve had polls on these subjects already. They are there. So voting no, doesnt change this, the question is not whether or not you want to be able to recover ratings through contributing to the board, knowing that the moderators CAN stop post whoring if it gets out of hand.
