Polished Throttle Bodies

With all the talk of polished throttle bodies lately, I would like to know how to polish the OUTSIDE of my throttle bodies??? How cool would this look with chrome smoothies? I am not too concerned with the inside, I can't "see" that anyway! /images/graemlins/supergrin.gif

I would think you would polish them like you would with anything else.

What is it that they are made of?

They are aluminum or if you want larger throttle bodies the ACU fab come polished
They're aluminum aren't they?

Why not just chrome them? Seems like they would be a bitch to polish.

They would have to be polished smooth enough to chrome, so 95% of the work would already be done. So there is no real need to chrome them then.

That would be just bad ass!! I saw go for it then post pictures!! :thumb:
Does the Viper realize any performance gains with a polished TB?
Guy named Shaner does a lot of them for Corvettes with some performance gains mostly low end gains.
Thanks
If I am not mistaken Shaner ports and polishes his TBs.
