Hi im new to this web site and vipers. However i`ve been looking at buying a viper for some time and i`ve found one that im very interested in. Its a 1995 rt/10 with a rebuilt from salvage title. The car was wrecked on the front drivers side of the car. I have seen all the papers from where it was rebuilt and it doesn`t look like it was damaged very bad. It cost 5600.00 to repair it. I can buy the car for 25000.00 it has 38000 miles on it. First i was wondering if that price is resnable? From what i `ve seen over the last year that seems like a pretty good price. I talked with the local viper tech in my town and he thought it was very good. The guy thats selling me the car assures me that its perfect and that you wouldn`t even know that it was wrecked before. Im planning on flying out to look at it and i was wondering if there is any things i should watch out for? Im planning on keep the car for along time and i don`t mind the rebuilt title as long as it was rebuilt right. Please let me know if the sounds like a bad deal and also if there is any reason not to by a rebuilt viper.

Also i was wondering how bad is the wind noise in the 95 vipers? It has viper mania side windows which i have heard helps quiet a bit. Would putting a hard top on also reduce the wind noise? If so since it has the viper mania windows would i need to go with viper mania top also or is there another top thats better? Is the factory hard top any good? And where is the best place to buy a top.

Sorry for all these questions but you guys seem to know alot about the vipers and i don`t want to make a 25000.00 dollar mistake. Any help will be greatlt appreciated. Thanks!!!!!

another 7K will buy you a GEN1 with a clear title and probably fewer miles.

With that many miles I'd walk after 23K
Greg, how did you ever get a GEN1 car into canada? Was it originally a canadian car? It has always been my understanding that you could not import a GEN1 US spec car into Canada.

Yes it was a Canadian car. I got it from Vancouver after the owner slid it into a ditch. Cost me under 40K Cdn to finish it, drove it for 3 years, and sold it for 47K in July when I bought the ACR. I was gonna keep it and mod the shit out of it, but $$$ dictated I sell it. You are right about gen I cars, also. Must be 1997 or newer to import.
Cool, so where did the car go? Still in ontario?
My dad is semi-retired and does that. The deals to be had at dealer auctions are insane. Used cars are fetching awesome $$ right now, especially if you get some quality stuff. I have to get around to getting my dealer's licence sometime this fall and start buying and selling.
If he's asking 25K you can likely get it cheaper especially if it's been on the market long. How firm is he on price? Also what color is it? Last 300 car?
