I have not created a personal gallery, but I have uploaded some pictures. When someone sees my pics and clicks on them it shows various other pics adjacent to mine but not uploaded by me. This can lead to some PM's wherein someone has a mistaken source for a pic, and some wasted time responding.

If I create a personal gallery will it eliminate this problem? What prompted this was Pemberton clicking on my Canadian Babe pic and seeing Brian Flynn's *** Photochopped pic next door assumed it was in my gallery. (Hardeharhar)

I told him it was in the members gallery, but not necessarily "this" members gallery. /images/graemlins/smile.gif Maybe something else you can modify in your spare time between 3 and 4 in the morning, in your quest to keep this site as the most awesome in existence. Thanks, Biggsie

Well, that's true. The preview line is one to show whats "around" your photo in the gallery (in this caase the Forum Attachments). Maybe the thing to do is look at adding a name below the photo.

The Forum Attachments category was a recent addition - not something that is standard, its an index to all the photos uploaded to the site (and there is alot of them).

Maybe the Forum Attachment category isn't the best of ideas. I'll take another look.

This seems likie a good way to handle it. I also noticed that I can see all of the uploaded photos, even the soup kitchen ones. I'm assuming that's only because I'm a site supporter. I guess the unpaid and unwashed can't see those though? /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hmm... so now attachments don't show up in a member's gallery?

No sir, don't like it. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

For example, in the randomly-selected photos below the forum info I saw a Prodrive Ferrari. I clicked it, it was Toby's, and I remembered he has a bad Ferrari fetish. Being in the mood to check out a few, and too see whether he'd posted any I've missed, I clicked to view his gallery. All he's uploaded to his gallery are a few boring pix of his highly-polished garage queen Viper. LOL

Do it for Toby.

Click the image button to the right of the smilies; you will see
. Paste in the URL where your picture resides. Boom...

BTW, I'm getting sick of that bitch in your avatar. There's enough of that in real life, who wants to see it on the board. Please change it ASAP.
Fu*k.....I get a link not the pic in the post. What am I doing wrong. Dont make me bring back the bitch.....LOL
I dunno, I just ran a test over there and it worked fine according to my directions above. When composing, you do see the
tags with your picture URL in between? When you hit the image button you should get a dialog box with a blue highlighted http in it. when you paste your URL in there that goes away and when you click OK it appears in your composition like this:

[ image]http://www.viperalley.com/attach/data/1/165068-164624-1jeans.jpg[ /image]

without the spaces.

Also you photo must be hosted somewhere, not just on your hard drive.
that is it...i was trying to do from hard drive....thanks
So now what you need to do is go to the photos section, then go to my gallery and look at the upper right hand corner. There is a button that says upload photos. Upload what you want, right click it once it's uploaded and you're viewing it full size, click properties, then highlight the URL, right click and click copy, then when you make your post you can do the image button thing I told you and paste your url into the dialog box. (Whew!)

By doing this you have essentially let the alley host your pic. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
