OK What\'s The Correlation This Site and The SRT 10?

Why is this site so heavily in favor of the Gen I/Gen II styling over the SRT 10? Is it generational in that the younger crowd goes for the more aggressive look and the older farts like the Oriental Corvette look? Other ideas? :help:

Nobody here is arguing the performance aspect of the SRT. The performance numbers are incredible and DEFINITELY scream "Viper", but I, along with the majority of people here, have problems with the styling of the Gen III. It just doesnt have the gawk factor of the Gen I or Gen II. The SRT looks too much like any other sports car on the road.

When I am driving around, I can spot Gen I and Gen II vipers from mile away because the look is so incredible and awe inspiring, but I just can't say the same about the Gen III. That's my beef

Weez you hit the nail right on the head.

And to add to that, as far as the look goes. The SRT appears to have lost the masculine look like Ldy says.

That what turns her off.

The Gen II that we have is a moving piece of art.

She says it calls to her to go fast. Where the SRT is just that BLAH.

Think you summed it up pretty good right there. The awesome curves of the older generation Vipers were taken away with the new design. With that said, I think the SRT looks great, just not as great as the late model. How do you perfect perfection? Don't be fooled though, the SRT has a pretty good following of people that love the looks.

Own a GEN2 with ABS. Technological advances of the SRT still don't overcome the distinct lack of "uniqueness" in the overall look. The extra 10G's can get me to same place and then some. I'll wait to see the GEN3.5 for now.

I agree 100%, and I am 29yrs old, so not exactly an old fart.

Curves = Classic. The SRT, while a beautiful car (that has grown on me) in it's own right, will never ever stir emotions for me the way the RT/10 did for me when I first laid eyes on one.

That's been 10 years ago!!
