Are the OEM hardtops for gen II's "double bubble?" Or are they "flat" across. I've seen double bubble, bipermania, etc., and was wondering what the cosmetic differences were. Pics, input would be great. thanks.
Double bubble. I wish I had seen your post before I went down for a drive...could've taken a few photos. However, there is no "duct" at center of the leading edge.
The OEM is a double bubble top. Vipermania makes tops that look like the OEM. They also sell their tops with a duct in the front. The flat tops were made for the gen 1 Vipers and as far as I know, are not made anymore. Here is a picture of a flat top on a gen 1 -
this last picture from the rear is the one I wanted to see. Now, is mopar the manufacturer of the OEM top? Don't get it? That didn't come with the car right? They look completely different when flat, so I wanted to know before I bought. Thanks guys.
Mopar is the manufacturer of the top. They were an option for the later RT's. They are available through Dodge, but are way too expensive. Try the VCA ads for a good used hardtop.
