I'm so pissed, I got sick on a boat (bad business trip) and even though I caught fish, I was ralphing...I should have raced instead. Chip, nice pics, you can rag me later for not going.

so what was recommended you use for brake fluid and pads? Something I need to do before hitting the track.

Re: NPR Lapping Days

We are going to do this more then once a year. We ended up running the track half the day and then the drag racers took over. First time on the the drag strip and I ran a 12.288 @ 119.63. I could have done better, but I could not get traction of the start.

I redid my brakes with Castrol High Temp Fluid and kept the stock pads. Bobby Archer was there and said I should be running Brakemen 3's on the track. I might do that next time. I just had a problem using $400 pads for one time, but it looks like we are going to do it more often.

yeah, that's a boat alright, I'd rather be ralphing on that boat than the one that's 70 miles out in the gulf. I'm glad you guys had a great time. who's car is that above? that red airplane. Chip, 12's that's impressive. Did you use those stickies that you interchanged out during that aut-X in gulfport?

The red car is a exspeedvision car that is owned by a guy here in New Orleans. He has a blue 98 GTS for the street as well.

I was running the Kuhmo Ecsta's that I autocross at about 25psi.

Here is a SRT 10. After watching it run, I liked more! Still looks like a S2000 ran into a Jag

Clayton with his postive rear camber ACR

Yeah, I had a little bit of an alignment issue. I guess that’s what happens when the suspension component you need to put the rear of the car back together doesn’t get shipped when its supposed to, and when they do get it shipped, they ship the wrong part…twice, and then they discover that they don’t actually have the part I need in stock, so I have to get it from someone else, who again doesn’t ship when they were supposed to, and when the right part finally gets shipped, UPS thinks that early morning airfreight delivery (supposed to be there by 8:00 a.m.) actually means they should deliver at 4:00 p.m., and then, when I finally get the part, it doesn’t come with the ball joint like it was supposed to, so I have to find another one………………all of which means I didn’t get the car ready until 2:00 a.m. the morning of the event and then could not really get an accurate alignment because the smart camber gauge I borrowed would not attach to the wheel……………… :pissed: :pissed:

In retrospect, I think the consensus from the rest of the field was that it was a good thing I had alignment issues, that way the rest of you old ladies had a chance of keeping up with me. /images/graemlins/supergrin.gif

Anyway, it was a great event. We all had a lot of fun and, like Chip said, we plan on doing this several times a year, so the rest of you guys need to get the cars out of the garage and COME TO THE TRACK!
