I am not an expert, but to me NOS is safe on any car as long as the a/f is correct. One wrong ping on a forged or cast car can grenade the thing easily from what I hear.(Big Carrot)

Maybe the forged will tolerate it better....dunno, but I don't think there will be any ill effects down the road if done properly.

I think I just figured out what happened to my last car! I bought a used nitrous gauge that night from a guy. He had it sitting there and had another one on his car. My hunch is that the gauge was broken and reading incorrectly. I bet I heated it entirely too much and leaned it out like crazy. PS. Don't do that.

What a timely post - I am so pissed at NOS - not that they make what they
sell - but I've got 2 NEW gauges/switches that leak - where the gauge is
joined with the fitting - I'll never buy another NOS brand gauge.
I think I'll go cannibalize a few off some of my welding equipment regulators -
those are reliable and solid.

HP...I run a really cool electric N20 pressure gauge...It's the top gauge in my ViperMed pod...ducer is right in front of the N20 solenoid...and a mechanical in the trunk on the bottles...Check out my previous pics of the electric one, it matches the Viper gauges perfect, lights and dims...but spendy...$275 for the gauge, ducer, etc...Worth every penny in my book....and it's AutoMeter...

I usually do everything myself, including an engine my Vette, an engine in my last Viper, 10 or so nitrous systems, etc. This one is just going to be waaaay to complicated! I figure it's worth the money just to have that extra year of life that the stress from this install would have taken from me. Pay someone to have the migraine for me!

I realize that pre 00 Viper are better with NOS, but how bad, if at all is NOS on a creampuff? Will the engine have problems down the line with nitrous use?
I never had a problem with NOS on my 2001 Nathan. NONE. And I used it all the time. I also keep in touch w/ the guy I sold it to. He's put 5,000 miles on it since he bought it and he has yet to have one problem either. And I know he races it.
