About 3 years ago, I dynoed my 97 GTS, and at the time, the only mod it had was smooth tubes and K&N's. After 3 consistent runs, my best was 422 rwhp and 453 rwtq.
This morning, I dynoed the car again. In the past 3 years I added Hennessey headers, Borla cat-back exhaust, and removed the cats (I also added a 3.54 gearset and aluminum flywheel, but that shouldn't matter on the dyno). So, after three consistent pulls on an equally calibrated dyno at APEX, my best was 454 rwhp and 486 rwtq. About what I expected.
It's hard to apportion what part of the increase is due to headers and what part to exhaust, or a combination of the two, but 30 extra hp and 30 extra ft-lbs. is a substantial increase in my book.
BTW, guys at APEX were great.
