Newer, more powerful horn for the Viper?

I'd like a massive horn to honk at the cell phone users drifting into my lane, something like off a tug boat or a freight train, maybe an air horn is enough? Anyway, anybody know anything about this? Availability? Costs? Ease of installation?

I called my buddy but no answer. I'll find out which one he used on the Hummer and let you know.
Here's something I found, looks kinda tacky though??

Also, how does 118 decibels compare to the factory horn decibel rating?
make sure it plays la cucaracha

I was thinking something along the lines of the Rebel Yell from Dukes of Hazzard.
Don has that horn on the General Lee. I have been goading him into a finish line blast after the VRL traces. Hopoefully I can get the remote to work from the pits this year at ViperDays at VIR. /images/graemlins/supergrin.gif

Now that would be hilarious, I can just see you hitting the remote on that and him freaking out!
Those small red dual tooter air horns are pretty wimpy actually, being a shorter tube length, its a nasally mid-high pitched tone like putting a sheep in a blender.

You want a long 2'-3' long horn length.........try marine stores or truck stops for something that sounds like a semi truck or the Queen Mary cruise ship.

In the interest of not wrecking him - I'd wait until he crossed the start finish line AND I'd warn him on the radio. And - only if he wins the Comp Coupe class.
The Queen Mary 2 has a horn you can hear 10 miles.
Ask Cunard... /images/graemlins/supergrin.gif

P.S.: I don't know how much hp you will loooooooooose activating the horn!

Pep Boys has a ton of these things in stock.
That's one of those things that I've always considered Slaughter. Driving in any big city, a major noisemaker is essential.

My experience is to find a loud electric horn (as opposed to an air type horn). The compressors ALWAYS fail and sometimes they take a second or so to achieve the required pressure. That second can be frustrating in an emergency.

I'm also going to look into this. I think I previously found a big electric Mercedes horn that worked real well.
I put an air horn on my jeep and I love it. I can use my normal horn for a little beep or my air horn for a big ass rude, "BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMP" I know a guy that found a freight train horn and installed it under his truck. No bullshit, I fell over when he honked it.
