What can someone tell me about Neutral Gear Knock - This is when your Viper is in neutral and you hear some light knocking noise. I heard this is typical and of no concern. Can anyone give me some feedback??

Its NGR (neutral gear rattle). Not to be worried about. Do search on .org for info.

yes...it doen't hurt anything...if you change the trans fluid to the 459 fluid i believe...it is a bit better...

I did a search on .org and couldn't find anything. I guess it's something i just have to live with, but better than hearing rice burning in my gas tank!!! :thumb:

does not happen on creampuffs, mine did not start till I put in 96 cam and pistons, the NGR

Change the fluid , it helps!

I changed the transmission fluid in my 97 GTS to fully synthetic, the gearchange is now smoother and 90% of the noises my transmission was making have
gone.
