at work, there are some (okay, almost everyone there) who thinks vipers are dogs, and that a civic stock can beat a viper to about the 8th mile (about stoplight 2 stoplight) and frankly, they know nothing about it. any ammo you can give me would be great :-D

Surely they aren't serious? I'm not even sure how to respond to something like that. I mean, if they said a mustang, or camaro, or corvette - anything within the realm of make believe I could understand - but a civic?

The best I ever saw was a ricer mag that profiled ALL of the Fast & Furious 2 cars. It detailed each car in the movie - stating their mods and their "supposed" horsepower. I say "supposed" because you know what? The magazine even said that every car was fictitious. In reality, all they had was some chrome plated parts, a body kit, and about 200hp tops. It was hilarious.

snake bitten, im not even joking. they think a viper cant get traction, and that they are soooo heavy, they need 500tq just to start moving. These guys dont know much... they where comparing a stock viper to a Lingfelter 427 Corvette, claiming both where compleatly stock. ohwell.

dan - Friday I was teaching some 4th graders and one of them said Vipers can't handle and they are slower than Porsches, Ferarris, and Lambos. I told him he was going to repeat the 4th grade because he didn't know enough to be in the 5th grade and then I think I scared him when I told him that he may be sent back to the third grade because real 4th graders know better.
