My Viper\'s New Shoes

Now I know how popular those spinners were, but here is what I settled on for my car:

It's on my list. I'm just not sure I want to deal with a car as low as Eibachs will return. A friend of mine has them on his '94 and it is only about 3" off the ground. It scrapes on everything. I can't do that to my car.

I'm considering Northwind's lowering perches, but I know someone with those as well and they actually don't appear to be quite enough.

I think I'd be happy with something in the middle. I just don't know what that is. Does anyone besides Eibach make lowring springs for the Viper?

I'll lower it for you when I get home, to show you how much better it will look when those truck wheel wells are filled in. :thumb: Looks really good though. I like those rims.

I liked them too, but since they needed new tires and 18's have been such a good deal I couldn't pass this up. The originals are cleaned and stored away in the garage for safe keeping. I haven't seen another red RT locally with the LM's so I'm still happy. If it becomes common I'll bring back the yellow wheels.

Re: My Viper\'s New Shoes

It's funny. When my '96 was new, about 80% of the people "got" the yellow wheels, 20% didn't.

Five years later, 20% got it, 80% didn't like them.

Those new wheels look good. I had considered changing wheels, but didn't know what I'd do with the Sneaky Pete on the side of the hood. I thought it would need to be removed, but I think it looks great on your car. /images/graemlins/headbang.gif

Hey Matt, where did you get those driving light covers? I need some. Last I heard ..they don't make them any more.
They're factory covers. I believe Dodge stopped using them around '99.

The reason I dont like eibachs is that they are BOUNCY! The car is a lot dartier than it was before, rather than more controlled. Ive driven and ridden in a car with the EMI/PENSKE/Moton ajustable coil over setup and loved it. Its a LOT more money at $4-5K installed, but IMO worth every dime.
