Let's not get into too much of a witchhunt here... IF the guy has problems, then being overly harsh with him is not the solution. Take it to the other extreme. How would you guys feel if this kid takes himself out after our response to his "joke".

Even temperedness in all things is a virtue.

He may have only been joking. Maybe he was just trying to be "kewl" to the adults. The correct action is to notify his counselor.

MP, I read his post also - if you want someone on the phone with you let me know - I am happy to "back you up" so to speak.
