I just picked up the March issue of Sport Compact Car. It has the results of the Ultimate Street Car Challenge. Paolo has several great shots in the mag. Has anyone else seen it yet?
Actually, that's not necessarily the case with this contest.dan berndt said:ofcourse rice will win.. it IS a rice mag.
Yeah, but last year Paul Mumford won with his Viper.dan berndt said:ofcourse rice will win.. it IS a rice mag.
And he also post much of the same info here with us.slaughterj said:Paolo put together extensive write-ups of the entire process over on the VCA site I believe, including explaining the tests and what happened.
What is the link? I went over to the VCA but got sick of wading through the two vipair threads and countless "is the viper super cool or what?" threads. I just can't subject myself to any more windbreakerage.slaughterj said:Paolo put together extensive write-ups of the entire process over on the VCA site I believe, including explaining the tests and what happened.
Rollmodel, I locked 'em up on the dusty, sandy surface. I did not practice the 60-zero stops on the dust before the contest. I think all of the other cars had ABS. I did not and bit the big one on this portion of the test!ROLLMODEL said:149 ft. 60-0!! /images/graemlins/shocked WTF?

Testing Structure:
GROSS DISPLAY OF HP AND PWR (1 Point Scale)
Gross Display of Subjective RICE (100,000,000 Point Scale)
Realizing that the Viper has the Torque of a FreightTrain and all the other competitor cars are girly (PRICELESS!)
