I got tired of it looking a little like a 4wd so I lowered my 97 GTS.
I went the route of cutting one coil off a stock set of springs (bought a spare set off ebay).
I went that route because I was concerned with weight transfer for the drag strip (which I'm more into).
It lowered the car 3/4's of an inch, I'm pretty happy with the results.
The ride is a little harsher, but not that bad and the handling feels better. /images/graemlins/gr_driving3.gif
