Let\'s see who know\'s ALL about these Vipers...

I was told something awhile ago that intrigued me, and there's another post on this board with this quote:

"Many elements of the Viper came directly out of corporate parts bins"

What are they ??

I was told that the steering box, or was it the Resevoir that came from a Jeep Cherokee......

Is this true ?? How many other parts are robbed from other MOPARS for our Vipers ??

Nope, rear hubs are from the Dakota 4WD. Front hubs are only slightly modified. Gen 1 upper control arms (front) are also Dakota pieces. Rear brake calipers are from the Eagle Premier. Park brake lever: Le Baron K-car. Ash tray: K-car. Gen 1 headlamp switch - Corporate. Steering column/tilt mechanism: corporate.

The ash tray is out of a neon (I think).

Actually I think that the ashtray is the same one used in a K-car. That was a trivia question at one of our Viper gatherings.

Engine internals swap with most domestic V8s.

Ignition coilpack can swap with a Stratus.

Gauges were originally a Mercury Marine part.

GenI suspension was designed by Fisher-Price.

Fan module is minivan.

Power steering is Jeep Cherokee.
