Trying to get a cold idle issue and only place smoke coming out is throttle plate area on driver side - not sure if they have gaskets or is this normal when pumping pressurized air through engine? Smoke is coming out of the plastic plate and metal part of throttle body where it connects and also some smoke on other side

TB's are not pressurized. They just regulate the amount of atmospheric air volume allowed to pass going to the compressor. The throttle shafts often have plastic bushings to help the seal and reduce friction, but they are not sealed tight. They pull a heavy vacuum on the plates at idle and all the idle air is via the IAC motor pintle.
