Do hi-flow cats sound as good as taking your cats totally off?
And do the high-flow cats make your car smell?

My experience:

1.) High flow cats sound better than no cats (stock headers and 2.5 Corsa).
2.) I notice a smell with the high flow cats (Sean Roe ovals) when driving aggressively. Cruising, nope. Now with no cats, I smelled the fumes from start to finish. Stock cats, never smelled anything.
