After going to the dyno this morning, I found that my Air/Fuel Ratio was about 14.0 at 3000 rpm, decreasing linearly to 13.0 at 5500 rpm. I was told this is a bit low, as the ideal is around 12.0. However, in speaking with guys at Edelbrock, they had mentioned that general thinking had changed in recent years, so that "ideal" was closer to 13.0 than 11.5.

I will likely look into a VEC 1 to tweak the system, but I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on the "ideal."

For comparison, near the end of my run at 5400 mine is at 10.5, but headers should lean it out a bit for me for more power. 13 seems a bit higher than I'd like personally but its not bad. I'd split the difference and shoot for 12.5 myself.

I've seen a car at 15, and it was on the edge of going ka-boom.
